What are Therapeutic Injections for Chronic Migraine?

Therapeutic Injections are a preventive, FDA-approved treatment specifically for adults with chronic migraine. They are not used for occasional (episodic) migraines. Unlike acute treatments that you take once a headache starts, therapeutic injections are a “prophylactic” therapy designed to prevent headaches before they even begin.

This treatment was rigorously tested in the pivotal PREEMPT clinical trials, which demonstrated that it significantly reduces the number of headache days per month for patients who experience 15 or more headache days (with at least 8 being migraines)
